Plan Ahead for High Season
During high season, buy a pass for the days you plan to visit the parks in advance, and include Lightning Lane with your Disney tickets. It is cheaper because of the daily price decrease, and you will be able to book attractions to avoid long queues.
Once you have your tickets, create your account and enter "My Disney Experience" at the official Disney site to register your ticket code. The site to organize your Disney plan is disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan where you can easily create an account.

What About Universal?
Universal offers an Express Pass to skip lines, but it is expensive and not always worth it depending on the time of year. During off-peak days, standby wait times at Universal are often manageable without it.
Save that money for butterbeer instead.
